On the 10th of December 2006, within the Radio Festival in Belgrade, “Radio S” had presented a “Special Award for overall contribution to music and anti-piracy fight” to the President of Ars et Norma Association, Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic.
Miss Milosevic had performed her hit composition titled “Amsterdam: at the final festival ceremony.

Ars et Norma Association and Art Television, had produced a five television panel discussion serial, titled “Legalize Art”, issues discussing art, media, cultural policy, copyrights, artist’s role and position in the society and Information society.

Episode titles are following: “Information Society”, “Government and the Cultural Industry”, “Art and Artist’s Role in the Society”, “Media” and "Cultural Policy”.

Serial is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture RS, TV Art Television Channel, Democracy Commissions grant and Ars et Norma Association.
Participants of the serial are significant knowledgeable members of public political and cultural life.
The serial’s aim is to have a large impact on the general audience in change of perception and comprehension of the current civilization’s cultural-political moment. Author of the 5 episodes serial is Association’s President Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic.

First episode, titled “Information Society” was aired on the 9th of October 2005.

Ars et Norma Association's second Press Conference was held in the Media Center in Belgrade on the 29th of September 2005. Association had informed the media about the results of the anti-piracy Campaign for the Better World.

There were about 15 media reporters present, 3 camera crews and 4 photographers.

At the panel were: Ars et Norma President, A.Sladjana Milosevic, Assistant Coordinator of the Campaign for the Better World project, Dejan Nikolic, TV Art Program Director, Danijela Jevtic Markovic and United States Embassy representative, press department, Mirjana Simoncic.

Ars et Norma President had introduced Association’s achievements in the preceding 8 months period. She spoke about anti-piracy campaign and its results, artists, media and institutional role and involvement in it; she had also answered to reporter’s questions on difficulties encountered over the course of the campaign; she had introduced 5 episode TV serial “Legalize Art” and spoke briefly on Association’s future plans and projects.

Assistant Coordinator of the Campaign for the Better World project, Dejan Nikolic spoke about development and the role Association’s interactive web site had played throughout the campaign.

TV Art Program Director, Danijela Jevtic Markovic had given more data on Ars et Norma and Art TV collaboration and the content of the announced serial.

Project Assistant Coordinator Dejan Nikolic was a guest at the “Popodne na Artu” program on Art TV dedicated to arts, on the 28th of Septembar 2005.
Mr. Nikolic had invited members of the press to Association’s forthcoming press conference and informed the audience on some of the Association’s achievements within the “Campaign for the Better World “project.

 


 

“National Strategy for an Information Society” in Serbia was introduced at the seminar organized by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in SCG, Ministry of Science, supported by the Open Society Fund. This is the first Serbian Government strategy to involve civil society. Ars et Norma Association had offered collaboration in the field of intellectual property in the information and communication technologies, and its participatation in Serbian Government project.

“National Strategy for an Information Society” is a large and significant project supported by UNDP, Open Society Fund and national and international ICT experts.

Around 130 experts from institutional, commercial and civil sector participated at the Work group meeting. Association was represented by Legal team Coordinator, lawyer Nevenka Antic.


Project Assistant Coordinator and Dejan Nikolic and musician Radenko Stojanovic – Vudu Popaj (who both took part in a live aid anti-piracy “8th and 10th Commandment” video) were guests at the National Television 3K Program. They commented on the anti-piracy campaign progress and related issues.


On behalf of all artists taking part in the anti-piracy song / video “The 8th and the 10th Commandment”, a well-known music artist Mr. Djordje David, participant in a song, introduced Association’s Ars et Norma Campaign for the Better World anti-piracy project to the wide TV audience. Mr. David had invited other artists to join the ongoing campaign, which resulted in more artists giving their support to the cause.


 

In collaboration with the Embassy of the United States of America and Dom Omladine Belgrade, Ars et Norma Association had realized seminar and workshop, titled "Intellectual Property in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). “

Titled “Misuse of the Copyright and Intellectual Property on the Internet” was a report from the seminar on copyright, held in Munich from the 14th to the 17th July this year. On behalf of the European Legal Student Association (ELSA), report was presented by one of Munich seminar participants, Milos Janjic.

Along with the fore mentioned, following discussants took part in the Workshop: Lidija Komlen, Chief Deputy of the District Public Prosecutor in Belgrade, who covered judicial aspect on the theme subject; Vesna Lazic, Copyright legal advisor at the Intellectual Property Institute and a copyright court expert, who gave a broader view on problems society encounters in applying the copyright law.

Zoran Djokic Assistant Head of the Criminal Police Directorate and the President of the Anti Piracy Commission took part in a discussion, joined by Dejan Nikolic from Ars et Norma Association, actor Marko Stojanovic, reporter Goran from Cyber Net magazine and the members of the Lawyers Chamber of Belgrade.

Seminar and Workshop were attended by approximately 30 participants who took an active role in it.

Educational and well delivered presentations by seminar educators were accompanied by informative power point presentations.
Besides specific Internet intellectual property theme, this edifying event had opened new topics to Serbian public related to the concept of global Information society development, Serbian position against highly developed technological societies and the need for advancement in this field.

Ars et Norma President Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic appeared on the “Morning Program” of the National Television RTS on the 9th of July 2005.
Ms. Milosevic took the opportunity to present the anti-piracy video clip “The 8th and the 10th Commandment” and spoke about the importance and the results accomplished in the “Campaign for the Better World” project.


 

Ars et Norma Association's first Press Conference was held in the Medija Center in Belgrade on the 29th of Jun 2005. Association had announced the launching of the anti-piracy Campaign for the Better World.

There were about 30 visitors present, 5 camera crews, and photographers and media reporters.

Ars et Norma President introduced the campaign and had delivered the results achieved in the campaign thus far. She had announced live aid anti-piracy song and video clip “8th and 10th Commandment” and spoke about the need to stop further criminalization of the society and the need for the respect of the rule of law.

Vice Consul Mr. Christian Wright of the United States Embassy of America, had spoken on behalf of the donors of the project. He had illustrated the significance of the anti-piracy local and global battle by producing data and statistics on the damage, piracy causes. He accentuated how the huge global trade in pirated and counterfeit goods represents economic theft on a massive scale.

On behalf of the Ministry of Culture RS spoke Maja Matija Ristic Advisor to the Minister and a Secretary of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Anti-piracy Commission. She had introduced the legal issues Government is tackling and of the results the Government have achieved in the battle and so far.

Ars et Norma Legal Clinic consultant M.A. Vladimir Cvijan from the Institute of Contemporary Law, brought out theoretical problems legal system needs to solve in Serbia.

Assistant Coordinator Dejan Nikolic gave an overview of the Association’s site to the present media representatives.

Participants of the pres conference were some of the artists who took part in the realization of the anti-piracy song / video clip: Vudu Popaj i Bebi Dol, Djordje David, Nikola Mijailovic. Artist Dejan Cukic had also given his support although he did not take a part in a recording of a song.

During the one and a half hour long TV show “Magazin IN”, Ars et Norma President Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic introduced “8th and 10th Commandment”, anti-piracy song and video clip. Once again, A. S. Milosevic had pointed out the problems caused by copyright violation and piracy in Serbia, and the imperative of regulating that field.
Besides A. S. As of today, Ars et Norma Association’s Legal Clinic new Consultant is M.A. Vladimir Cvijan, researcher of the Institute of the Comparative Law in Belgrade.
Mr. Cvijan is also a consultant in business and expert analysis in the field of law in the collaboration of the domestic and foreign institutions, businesses, associations and organizations, for Serbian President Mr. Boris Tadic’s Cabinet, since October 2004.


 

This was the first media promotion of the anti-piracy song and video clip in the TV show “In Trend” (U Trendu) by the author Snezana Dakic, on BK Television and the official launching of Ars et Norma Association’s public anti-piracy campaign. The entire TV show was dedicated to piracy and copyright issues in Serbia, which are the focal point of Ars et Norma Association “Campaign for A Better World” project. Portion of the“8th and 10th Commandment” video clip was shown.
Besides Ars et Norma President, Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic, artists - participants of the anti- piracy song and video clip such as, Rambo Amadeus, Vudu Popaj, Dragan Kojic - Keba, and Nikola Mijailovic were invited to the show upon her suggestion. Legal expert’s comments were presented by Mr. Jane Pardjovski, a Judge and a Vice President of the II District Court. Video clip and the song are a part of the creative material, which the Coordinative Body of Music, Film, Software and Publishing Organizations is contributing to the joined anti – piracy campaign of the Government of Serbia and the fore mentioned industry representatives.

Ars et Norma President Alexandra S. Milosevic appeared on Belgrade's Art
Television in "Popodne na Artu" show. She presented Association's projects
and announced forming of Coordinative body of music, software, film and
publishing organizations (MFSIO Coordinative body) and its future goals
and activities. She spoke of Association's current work on production of
Anti-Piracy song.


Radio Belgrade Program 2, RTS had dedicated a one hour program to
Association's projects. Association's Legal Coordinator, attorney Nevenka
Antic presented them in "Receno i precutano" radio show by author Gordana
Jelic-Vojinovic. During a show, dedicated to issues of copyright, Nevenka
Antic presented Association's Campaign for the Better World project
containing promotion and protection of copyright. Through her quality and
concise elaboration on these subjects, audience was accurately informed on
Association's projects and activities it is undertaking.


 


Ars et Norma Associations President A. Sladjana Milosevic / MFSIO Coordinator and the members of a MFSIO Coordinative body had held a meeting with the Government of Serbia Anti Piracy Commission on Monday on the 7th of March 2005.

The topic was Commissions anti piracy fight action plan relating to the Commissions and MFSIO’s campaign.
The improvement in collaboration within the campaign and mutual communication was agreed.



MFSIO Coordinative body meeting was held on the 4th of March 2005 with the Ministry of Culture RS representative Maja Matija Ristic. The following members of the Coordinative body were present:

As a part of a realization of an agreement previously achieved at the meeting at the Ministry of Culture RS on the 4th of February 2005, Minister Dragan Kojadinovic had given his support to Ars et Norma Associations initiative for the coordinated Anti piracy campaign of the Ministry of Culture, and the entertainment industry.
Music, film, software and publishing industry representatives meeting was held upon the invitation of Ars et Norma Associations President Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic and the Ministry of Culture RS, on the 3rd of March 2005, at the Ministry. Maja Matija Ristic, Ministry of Culture RS Advisor and a Secretary of the Governmental body - Anti Piracy Commission, presented information on a general anti piracy campaign the Government is commencing;
Ars et Norma Association had presented the Proposal for the synchronized public anti piracy campaign and had briefed the participants on the Associations autonomous anti piracy campaign actions;
Ars et Norma Associations President A. Sladjana Milosevic had brought up the Proposal for the foundation of the Alliance of Music Film Software and Publishing Industry (acronym AMFSIO) with a purpose of creating and supporting mutual initiatives and taking other actions towards betterment of authors of copyrighted work, producers and distributors status, protecting of intellectual property and organizing a synchronized anti piracy fight. Campaign for the Better World projects, Music Inustry Law and Associations educational program were introduced in brief.

In "Do poslednjeg daha" a one hour TV portray of Ars et Norma's President
A.S. Milosevic, aired on TV Panonija and TV Palma, along with conversing
on her artistic career, A.S. Milosevic had presented and accentuated goals
and projects of Ars et Norma Association, which she had founded as a
continuation of her public social engagement.

Author Dubravka Markovic had accepted Ars et Norma President's initiative
and concept and created a TV episode "Glas razuma" for RTS Program 1,
dedicated to IPR issues. Author Dubravka Markovic took in consideration
Ms. Milosevic proposed guests for the episode. Following experts were

President of Ars et Norma Association, Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic visited the Ministry of Culture RS on the 4th of February 2005.
She had presented several Association’s projects and initiatives to the Minister, Dragan Kojadinovic.
Vice Consul Mr. Christian Wright was present on behalf of the Embassy of the United States of America, who is a grant contributor for the “Campaign for the Better World” project, which was a topic discussed at the meeting.
Maja Matija Ristic, Counselor at the Ministry of Culture RS, Prof. Dr Vesna Rakic Vodinelic, Director of the Institute for Comparative Law in Belgrade Snezana Stanojevic, Superior Counselor at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services RS, took part in the meeting.
Ms. Milosevic had presented the following projects: “Campaign for the Better World“- public anti-piracy campaign, “Music Industry Law” project, foundation of the
“Coalition of the Music Industry Organizations“ project and forming of Music Film Software and Publishing Alliance.
Ms. Milosevic had proposed collaboration and a joint realization of the fore mentioned projects to the Ministry of Culture RS. The Ministry is expected to issue a statement in regards to the proposal, shortly.

Ars et Norma's President A.S. Milosevic took part in a TV show - panel
discussion on 3K RTS titled "Kazi ako smes" by authors Natasa Milanovic
and Duska Vucinic. Upon Ars et Norma President A.S. Milosevic's proposal,
aside from Association President, following experts guests on copyright

Discussants had brought up different aspects, problems and ways of IPR
protection. A.S. Milosevic presented Association's project Campaign for
the Better World, accentuating the importance of active approach the
Government should take in the fight against piracy and bringing out the
importance of the contribution non institutional organizations, similar to
Ars et Norma or other professional organizations, could add to the
outcome.
She had also explained and offered Association's Legal Clinic services to
the viewers.

On the 17th of October 2004, Ars et Norma President Alexandra Sladjana Milosevic visited the Ministry of Diaspora. She presented Under the Golden Sun of Serbia manifestation project to the Minister Vojislav Vukcevic and the Assistant Minister Miodrag Jaksic.

Visit resulted in the Ministry’s agreement to support the manifestation (Letter of support).
It is scheduled for the Ministry of Diaspora to realize its support soon and join production efforts with Ars et Norma Association. It is agreed for the due concert to be rescheduled for the spring of 2005.
